Our client, a leading financial services company is hiring a Business Analyst on a long-term contract basis.

Summary:

  • Candidate will be responsible for the management and maintenance of a legacy database supporting the Outdoor Lighting Department.
  • Responsibilities will include the adherence to a data management policy, the monitoring and maintaining of data as well as manage data replication.
  • Ensure that departments database is functional and backed up in the event of memory loss.
  • Optimize database performance and user access, plan for backup and restoration/recovery of database information.
  • Individual will resolve any errors in database performance including rewriting programming code as needed.
  • They will also evaluate short-term, mid-term and long-term options (Cloud, MySQL, Solarwinds, Salesforce) to ensure success of the Outdoor Lighting department and adherence to regulatory requirements, as well as provide recommendations for database enhancements.
  • Candidate must have the ability to develop a Linked Server allowing for the execution of queries from reference tables stored on non-SQL server database.
  • Candidate will also be able to create an operational database that can calculate complex formulas using Power Query producing best tariff rates for managed customers.  

Skills:

  • 10 year’s experience in MS Access; 5 years in MS Access design/development/administration
  • 5 year’s experience in MS SQL Server
  • 5 year’s experience in MS Excel
  • 2 year’s experience in migration MS Access databases to MS SQL Server
  • 2 year’s experience in Salesforce Administration
  • SQL Statements
  • VBA
  • DAO/ADO
  • ODBC
  • Triggers, Stored Procedures, CTEs, Views
  • Pay Rate: $45.00 – $50.00 per hour
