Summary:
Seeking a dynamic individual to join a motivated team of materials management and supply chain professionals. This individual is expected to efficiently manage materials buying activities for cell therapy network including, purchase order placement, maintenance of promise delivery time, execution of material resource planning systems (MRP), interpreting and analyzing of demand and usage requirements for materials, establish reordering and safety stock quantities, analyze order fulfillment and supplier lead times management to support adequate levels of materials, and collaboration with internal and external partners. Leveraging the cell therapy network, this position will make use of existing innovations and future technologies to support supply demand.

Knowledge/Skills/Education:

  • Bachelors required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience with materials management and/or supply chain within cGMP operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (I.e., Oracle, SAP, QAD)
  • Knowledge of federal regulations for Quality Systems (21CFR820) and GMP manufacturing (21CFR 210,211).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude that is willing to assist other areas of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong focus and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and maintain a strong attention to detail.
  • Independent and self-starting.
  • Eager and adaptable.
  • Ability to perform frequent physical tasks with strength and mobility. Flexible scheduling required.
  • Any equivalency combination of education, experience, and training may substitute.

Responsibilities:

  • Joining a team of highly qualified materials management and supply chain professionals, this individual will provide expert knowledge on materials resource planning strategies, develop purchase order strategies, monitor POs and invoices, maintain supplier relationships, and maintain target inventory levels to support cell therapy network.
  • Development and improvement of inventory models for raw materials, components, and reagents, ensuring that production demands are continuously met through periods of high growth and expansion.
  • Improve forecast models by reviewing historical raw material trends and predict demand to maximize supply chain efficiency. Reconcile monthly inventory raw materials.
  • Independently lead programs and process robustness in materials buying standard work measurements, collaborating with stakeholders to enhance site processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Support inventory activities and analysis, including but not limited to inventory control, inventory management, warehouse storage capacity assessments, and final product availability. Develop and define performance metrics for all raw material and final product inventory and identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Reinforce standard work measurement for all internal inventory activities and across team. Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset that enables the supply chain for rapid scale growth with high value and high-volume raw materials in a regulated environment.
  • Drive mitigation strategy of any material shortages by demonstrating diligence and urgency in managing material commitments consistent with financial implications and reasonable business dynamics. Provide SME knowledge in financial inventory assessments for audits, monthly, quarterly, and yearly inventory reports.
  • Lead local and global material life cycle procedures by ensuring material availability and master data accuracy.
  • Work cohesively with cross-functional teams in support of operational efficiency, flexibility, and assurance of purchase order placement and material availability. Collaborate on process improvements by maintaining open communication with all teams and fostering an environment of cooperation in which to achieve shared goals.
