Our client, a leading insurance company is hiring a Customer Service Representative – Underwriting Service Branch on a contract basis.

Work Location

Phoenix, AZ


As a USB CSR, you will be responsible for:

–Rating, quoting, booking and issuing functions for private and not-for profit new business

–Quote letter creation

–Working directly with underwriters and building strong customer relationships

–Handling a significant amount of computer processing of email correspondence and effectively using automated systems for policy issuance

–Consistently meeting service standards

–Developing an understanding the underwriting strategies supported by the USB


Required Skills


–Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment

–Proven desk and time management skills including multi-tasking and prioritizing

–Effective analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions

–Confidence in collaborating with underwriters and underwriting leadership

–Effective verbal and written communication skills

–Ability to work independently and within a team

–Agility in adapting to changing conditions (e.g., new strategies, workflows, technology).


Education and experience preferred:

HS or GED Graduate/ If possible AA or Bachelor's degree

—Most successful candidates have a-Basic knowledge of Microsoft office suite

Should have experience with maneuvering in Excel such as being able to enter data and copying and pasting data

–Prior insurance and/or customer service experience is a plus
