Summary:
Seeking a Data Steward (Collibra) to work on our Global Data Governance Program. In this hands-on position, you will apply strong technical stewardship acumen in partnership with Insurance business counterparts to effectively define, plan and deliver data governance framework that support business outcomes in service to the client’s strategy. This is a role that enable you to become a Data Governance Ambassador across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Partner and work collaboratively with internal customers to understand strategic Data Lake and business intelligence needs and the associated enabling of data stewardship requirements.
- Propose definitions, organize entities, initiate approval workflows, manage ACORD mapping, tag privacy/sensitivity to enable the delivery of meaningful, actionable, data-driven capability in alignment with business strategies.
- Collaborate with the business strategy partners to understand various data assets, domains and communities in the client’s enterprise data domains.
- Approve content, definitions, business rules, transformations
- Develop and lead the execution of ACORD mapping to various logical data layers within Data Lake, review data lineage, propose new datasets for Data Lake onboarding.
- Engage and collaborate with Data Engineers for upstream/downstream impact analysis; review datasets used to build data pipelines
- Finding the corresponding term in Acord standards, Tagging the sensitive assets (PII, PHI,PCI), Setting up Data Quality Validation Rules
- Deliver enabling capability to support the rapid ingestion of metadata and the timely deployment of Enterprise Data Catalog, Business glossary into production
- Support the development of Data Governance, Stewardship capabilities that promotes sharing, capabilities and methods in a cloud-first environment that leverages highly automated DevOps tools and capabilities
- Coordinate across assigned delivery teams to ensure high quality project delivery within scope, timeframe, and budgets
- this position will create confidence in our data quality across our Go-To-Market functions by driving global initiatives centrally and by building data, technology and process infrastructure and governance.
- This is a cross-functional role that requires a keen sense of ownership on data assets.
- You should have strong interpersonal skills to engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and perform data stewardship execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
- 3+ years in the data governance space with hands-on experience with Data Stewardship, Data Mapping, Tagging Sensitive Data
- Direct experience with Data Governance suite (Collibra DGC)
Preferred Skills:
- Team Lead experience
- Experience with Cloud-based technologies (MS Azure, Spark, Kafka, Databricks)
- Knowledge or experience within the Insurance or Financial Services Industry
Pay Range: $80-$90/ hour
