ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Technical Business Analyst

Our client, a leading financial services company is hiring for a Technical Business Analyst on a long term contract basis.

New York, NY 

Summary:

The ESG Technical Business Analyst will work as a member of the ESG team within the ESG Technology Group and will be responsible for working with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to manage and fulfill stakeholder requests, document requirements and workflows, provide daily business support, facilitate projects and enhance overall user experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders and development team to establish and document requirements for integrating legacy EV applications into the client’s product suite.
  • Document client and Calvert business processes and translate business needs into technological requirements.
  • Work with ESG Technology group to ensure data from external data scientist vendor is loaded and available.
  • Establish FactSet data feeds and ensure data is available and accessible for Calvert business users.
  • Assist with defining client and Calverts technical requirements, and QA testing.
  • Assist with project oversight by entering stories on the JIRA board and updating them as needed.
  • Work with the development team to evaluate solutions and make objective recommendations for process improvements.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and technology team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a business analyst working in collaboration with software development.
  • Affinity for technical writing and presenting
  • ability to formally document requirements, reach agreements with others, and explain detailed requirements to others as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in both formal and informal contexts in a fashion tailored for the audience.
  • Practical understanding of relational database design and familiarity with SQL programming using T-SQL.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction and guidance from manager.
  • Highly skilled in incorporating successful interviewing, facilitation, and documentation techniques within a project.
  • Strong client service skills
  • Ability to deliver under stress in a fast-paced environment
  • Methodical and attention to details
  • Strong understanding of Investment Data and Investment Management industry

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of ESG business.
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting investment data.
