Our client, a global energy commodities firm, has an urgent need for a:

Event Sponsorship/ Advertising Sales Specialist
100% Remote
Long term contract with RTH option

Role: To generate direct revenue by selling event sponsorships and advertising while enhancing the firm's Reputation.

Job Summary:
This is an Inside sales role driving revenue through conference (virtual and physical) sponsorships, commercial webinars and digital advertising.
You are responsible for generating new business, which includes creating your own leads, cold calling, negotiating and ultimately closing the business.
You’ll be supported by producers (explaining content and potential value proposition), Event Operations (collaborating on ideas, and executing fulfillment) and Event Marketing (demonstrating audience profile and status).

Responsibilities:

  • Developing a new business account base; prospecting and qualifying potential clients and closing sales
  • Coordinating sales with event producers to ensure timely completion of event agendas;
  • Coordinating and fulfilling post-sale logistics leading up to conference or event or ad run date.
  • Coordinate with Ops team on delivery of sponsorship items.
  • Working with existing and new customers to promote conferences and events
  • Occasional travel to events
  • Advertising sales and logistics, including the placement of advertising with internal teams
  • Creating contracts for billing and commissions 
  • Maintain, track and report on sales pipeline forecast for forward planning

Skills:

  • Strong phone skills, sense of urgency
  • Must generate own sales leads and close them quickly
  • Deliver a compelling phone, video or face-to-face sales pitch
  • Multi-tasking over several concurrent projects
  • Understanding of market dynamics
  • Customer service skills; empathy, solution-oriented
  • MS Office 365, PowerPoint, Word and other basic accounting and admin skills
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, energetic, innovative and entrepreneurial 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a range of key external and internal stakeholder
