Our client, a leading utility company, is hiring a Network Engineer on a contract basis.

Work Location

New York, NY


Server builds and assign server permissions
• Patch servers and execute server checklists
• Perform vCenter maintenance
• Perform VM host management and maintenance
• Install and move servers and storage equipment
• Maintain server and storage equipment and interface with support vendors

Skills & Requirements

strong commitment to customer service and possesses a strong technical understanding and proficiency in Local Area Network (LAN), firewall, virtual servers and storage area network computing. The ideal candidate must be well organized, detail-oriented, and flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. This individual must be able to exercise good judgment and render sound business decisions. The successful candidate must perform a broad range of responsible and complex computer systems administration duties in the implementation and maintenance of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) or other computer information systems. Provide complex technical support for desktop, server and network hardware, software and/or peripheral equipment.
Must be able to provide off-hour, on-call support for server and storage related issues that requires travel to various supported server/location sites. Must be willing and able to work overtime and be flexible with work hours to respond to emergencies or scheduled work that must be done either prior to or after normal business hours. Must have a valid driver’s license.
The following are not required for this position but would be considered as a valuable asset in a potential candidate.
