Our client, a leading financial services company is hiring a Senior Scrum Master on a long-term contract basis.

Work Location:

Warren, NJ (Hybrid Work Option)

Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading Scaled Agile/Hybrid teams to deliver products that create business value.
  • This includes planning and estimating the work, communicating inside and outside the team, and delivering to agreed specifications
  • Applying relevant practices and methods to accelerate and optimize effectiveness and speed, manage changes, follow compliance requirements
  • Assists the Product Owner and team to review the user stories and prepare for upcoming sprints.
  • Supporting the Development Team and the Product Owner to reach the development goals
  • Ensures the team commits to a set of goals/deliverables that are aligned to the Program Increment objectives
  • Facilities the daily stand-up meeting, enabling the team to plan and coordinate work and inspect progress toward the iteration goals
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
  • Performs iteration reviews, schedules demos, documents feedback, and works with the Product Owner to improve the solution
  • Support the Product Owner in taking care of the Sprint Backlog
  • Create metrics to increase transparency
  • Resolving team conflicts/roadblocks

Skills Required: 

  • A college or university degree or equivalent IT experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to build relationships through effective collaboration and partnering
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Adjusts messaging and communication style based on target audience and subject matter
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks and manage personal workload
  • Basic understanding of ServiceNow products/modules is required
  • Working Scrum Master experience in managing ServiceNow in a Scaled Agile methodology is required
  • Comfortable using various support applications such as Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow is a plus
