Our client, a leading financial company is hiring a Tax Support Specialist on a contract basis.
Tax Support Specialist for Local Taxation with concentration directly with PA Local Services Tax (LST). Experience should be between 3-5 years working with tax agencies and employers to resolve complex tax issues through notice resolution.
Provide support and assistance with researching tax notices for PA LST. Role includes working with the Local Tax agencies to research and resolve tax notices with amounts due to the agency. The Tax Support Specialist will work with internal tax partners and the local agencies to assist in solving complex client tax account issues, business changes, filing discrepancies, documents and critical data gaps with a strong focus on PA LST.
Strong local tax and payroll tax background required with experience required. The Tax Support Specialist role requires knowledge of local tax legislation and the application of the requirements. The role will be supporting the overall tax compliance to ensure tax accounts are in good standing which will include collaboration with clients, tax authorities, and Business partners.
The Tax Support Specialist will need to apply industry and product knowledge to implement, guide, and support client tax account set ups and changes in compliance with Local tax regulations, polices, and client expectations.
Background should include local tax, tax analytics, payroll, state agency and client facing responsibilities as it relates to employer and employee local taxation.
